How does photo food logging work?

Take a clear photo of your meal. BiteCal helps identify visible foods and estimate calories and macros. Review the suggested foods, portions and preparation before saving.

Are photo calorie estimates exact?

Photo estimates can miss ingredients such as cooking oil, sauces or fillings. Treat them as a starting point and review the amounts. A nutrition label is more suitable for an exact packaged product.

Can I change the serving size?

Yes. The BiteCal design includes editable food quantities and serving sizes, so you can adjust the entry to reflect your meal.

What can I track with BiteCal?

BiteCal brings together meal logs, a daily calorie budget, macronutrients, water, activity, weight and progress trends.

Do I need to sign in to use this website?

No. You can browse the website, explore nutrition references and use the calculator without an account. App subscriptions and account features are handled in the app.

Where do the nutrition references come from?

The nutrition library on this website uses identified USDA FoodData Central records. Each food shows a 100 g basis and a source link. Natural foods and cooking methods vary.

How do I manage an app subscription?

Use the subscription settings in the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase. Website actions do not change your store subscription.

How can I contact support?

Email hello@metainnovation.site. Include your app version and describe the problem, but do not send passwords or payment card details.
