Cucumber Salad Calories: How Much Does the Dressing Add?
·
A 200 g cucumber base has about 30 kcal. Add 14 g olive oil and the bowl reaches about 154 kcal, before other toppings or dressing ingredients.
The same cucumber base, different additions
| Bowl ingredients | Approx. kcal |
|---|---|
| Cucumber, 200 g | 30 |
| Cucumber, 200 g + yogurt, 30 g | 48 |
| Cucumber, 200 g + olive oil, 5 g | 74 |
| Cucumber, 200 g + olive oil, 14 g | 154 |
The cucumber is usually the easy part
These are ingredient calculations, not a universal salad recipe. Raw cucumber with peel supplies 15 kcal per 100 g; plain nonfat Greek yogurt supplies 59 and olive oil 884. Lemon, vinegar, sugar, herbs and other ingredients are not included in the examples.
Measure the dressing for the entire bowl, then divide by the share you eat. For a restaurant salad, ask for dressing on the side when useful. A creamy appearance does not tell you the calories: yogurt and mayonnaise are different ingredients.

Frequently asked questions
Why do cucumber salads have different calorie counts?
The cucumber amount, dressing and toppings differ. A plain cucumber entry does not represent a finished salad.
Does leftover dressing count?
Count the portion you consume. If much remains in the bowl, record a reasonable estimate and keep the method consistent rather than pretending the exact amount is known.
