Standard sandwiches and Fresh Fit are different references
The October sheet gives standard sandwiches and Fresh Fit their own sections. For example, standard 6-inch Oven-Roasted Turkey is 470 calories, whereas the separately specified Fresh Fit turkey build is 270. Those labels describe different assemblies, not a disagreement about one identical sandwich.
This comparison uses the standard sandwich rows throughout. Do not keep the lower Fresh Fit calorie number while using the standard build’s ingredients or protein figure. Bread, cheese, spread and the vegetables specified by the source all belong to the chosen reference.
Convert a 6-inch reference to a footlong carefully
The source says one footlong equals two 6-inch servings. For the same standard build, doubling Oven-Roasted Turkey gives a calculated 940 calories and 50 g protein. Doubling Grilled Chicken gives 1,020 calories and 62 g protein. This applies to matching builds, not a different wrap or salad.
If you eat only one half, record one 6-inch equivalent rather than the whole ordered footlong. Chips, cookies and drinks are separate. A wrap can include a different meat portion, so removing the word footlong does not turn it into the 6-inch reference.
Selected official Subway standard 6-inch servings: protein density
| Standard 6-inch sandwich | kcal | Protein (g) | Protein per 100 kcal (g, rounded) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oven-Roasted Turkey | 470 | 25 | 5.32 |
| Grilled Chicken | 510 | 31 | 6.08 |
| Tuna | 560 | 27 | 4.82 |
| Meatball Marinara | 550 | 26 | 4.73 |
| Veggie Delite | 310 | 16 | 5.16 |
Check sauces and extras before saving a custom sub
The grams printed next to each row are the source’s reference sandwich weight. They are not a claim that every assembled sub weighs exactly that amount. A double-meat order or additional cheese needs its own matching adjustment.
Start with the closest actual build, then review the components you changed. Photo logging is useful for capturing the meal, but it cannot reliably reveal the amount of a spread hidden inside bread. Keep those details in your review rather than assuming a photo identifies them perfectly.
Subway protein per 100 calories: compare matching 6-inch builds
Protein density = listed protein ÷ listed calories × 100. These selected standard US 6-inch sandwich builds use Subway’s October 2026 sheet, checked October 23. They are not the separate Fresh Fit builds or a ranking of the entire menu.
Example: 31 ÷ 510 × 100 = 6.08 g per 100 kcal. Doubling a matching Grilled Chicken sandwich to a footlong gives 1,020 kcal and 62 g protein; the ratio stays 6.08. Cheese, sauces and a different build change the reference. Protein density is one comparison, not a complete assessment of a meal.
Frequently asked questions
How many calories are in a 6-inch turkey Subway sandwich?
The October 2026 US sheet lists the standard Oven-Roasted Turkey at 470 calories per 229 g 6-inch sandwich. Its separately specified Fresh Fit version is a different build.
How many calories are in the standard Veggie Delite?
The selected standard 6-inch Veggie Delite row is 310 calories and 16 g protein. Do not substitute the different Fresh Fit row without matching its assembly.
Can I double the 6-inch calories for a footlong?
The sheet instructs doubling for the same footlong build. Confirm the bread, fillings and sauces match, and count only the amount eaten.
Can I log a Subway order with a photo?
Yes. BiteCal’s paid AI scanning can estimate food and calories from a photo. Review bread size, fillings, cheese and sauces instead of searching each item separately.
