Inputs stay in this page. Estimates are for adults; pregnancy, breastfeeding, eating disorders and medical conditions need individual advice. A calculator does not prescribe an intake or predict a weight-loss date.
How this calorie calculator works
Resting estimate = 10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age + sex constant (+5 male, −161 female). Maintenance = resting estimate × activity factor.
Worked example
A 30-year-old woman at 70 kg, 170 cm and activity factor 1.55 has an estimated maintenance intake of 2,250 kcal/day. A 10% reduction is about 2,025 kcal/day; it is a scenario to review against your trend.
Use the estimate in your daily routine
A number becomes useful when you can compare it with what you actually eat. BiteCal helps reduce manual entry with AI meal-photo estimates you review before saving. Keep the reference calculation separate from your actual logged meals; neither a formula nor a photo guarantees exact intake or weight change.
